Environmental Issues
Adopted on May 29, 1994, at the CSJO Executive Board meeting in South Euclid, Ohio, USA
The Congress of Secular Jewish Organizations, in recognition of the urgent need to maintain a healthy and socially productive environment, urges its affiliate organizations to unite with other similarly concerned groups and individuals to take action to halt the corrosion and destruction of the environment, including military bases and other governmental installations.
This action should take the form of lobbying and other forms of action for realistic and economically effective control and corrective measures by and on all levels of government: international, national, state and local. Such action should also be taken against all non-governmental institutions and corporations who do not have appropriate control and corrective measures.
